As a New Testament Church, we embrace these seven core vales, which also serve as pillars that support everything we do. They are the DNA of City Bible Church.

1. Doctrinal Teaching Acts 2:42 "And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrine..."
Healthy churches build with the pillars of God's Word and the power of God's Spirit. 2 Tim. 3:16-17. The teacher was a central figure in the first-century church, with teaching as the primary function of the church.

2. Fellowship Acts 2:42
Fellowship conveys the idea of sharing and unity. This is what cements the believers to the Lord Jesus and to each other. Through this family atmosphere, the church affords believers the ability to discern God's purpose for their lives.

3. Worship Acts 2:42, 47
The purpose of the worship service is not just to arouse the attendee's passion to hear preaching. The true objective is to enable believers to encounter God in worship and the Word. The purpose of worship is also to allow unbelievers to observe this human/divine encounter and to yearn for their own personal relationship with Him.

4. Prayer Acts 2:42
Prayer is the single most important key to church health, growth, and influence. Prayer brings intimacy with God and transformation into every relationship and every aspect of our lives. Prayer is the divinely appointed means by which man comes into direct connection with God. By His own words, God binds Himself to hear our prayers. God can only work effectively through believers in proportion to how much they give themselves to prayer.

5. Family Acts 2:42
Our mission is to build godly families through discipleship, that we might effectively take the Gospel into all areas of life and serve as beacons of light in a dark world. As a family-building church, we will teach God's blueprint for marriage and family. We desire to foster an atmosphere that embraces virtues of a loving family - acceptance, nurturing, and forgiveness.

6. Equipping Eph 4:11-16
Equipping people is done by the Word and Spirit taking an active role through the mentoring of other believers creating intimate relationships for Kingdom Advancement. Through these relationships, preparing and restoring are both accomplished for greater service in the Kingdom.

7. Identification with the community Acts 4:47
To understand the needs, hurts, dreams, and aspirations of people's lives outside of Christ, we must build relational bridges into their lives personally and communally. Through these relational bridges, it leads to opportunities to care by displaying God's love, which opens the way to share by declaring God's love. Thus, Christ visiting our communities through us with His presence and transforming power. The goal city transformation!
